Sexual and reproductive health and rights for girls’, Access to Comprehensive abortion care, gender equality and women’s empowerment, policy review, governance and accountability mechanism, youth leadership and engagement.
Richard is currently a Youth Power advocate with Restless Development, in the area of youth policy on inclusion and accountability mechanisms; Richard has been actively involved with the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Initiative to ensure meaningful youth engagement on OGP policies that directly impact the well-being of young people. On the front of the United Nations, he has been involved with policy reviews, including the United Nations Global Strategy for Women, Children and Adolescents’ Health. He made a number of presentations at the United Nations on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and how the youth can be partners in its implementation through youth involvement in policy, research, and innovations. Examples of such engagement included speaking at the United Nations High-Level Political Forum on the SDGs in 2016 and the 72nd United Nations General Assembly, New York, in September 2017, where he made a strong case to development partners on the need to mainstream gender activities as part of budget support to developing countries.
Richard is also a 2018 winner for the first ever, United Nations Action Campaign Awards held in Bonn, Germany. He was awarded for his work in including marginalized groups in the SDGs dialogue in Ghana and influencing policy. He holds a Master’s Degree in Development Communication.
