Relevant Experience

Nana Zulu is a young Zambian activist who has coordinated and implemented extensive work on comprehensive Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), feminist and youth leadership, HIV and AIDS, advocacy, policy engagement, project management, peer education and capacity building. She has coordinated various national and regional campaigns including the Happy Life campaign on access to contraceptives and the Campaign on accelerating the right to SRH for women and girls. She is a recipient of the Robert Serpell Award for outstanding contributions to the HIV response at the University of Zambia.

Nana has developed and coordinated youth-specific SRHR programming and initiatives for various organizations including the University of Zambia HIV Response Unit; Youth Vision Zambia; Women and Law in Southern Africa (WLSA) and Ipas Zambia. Nana is a co-founder of the Youth Advocacy Action Team (YAAT) a national team of youth advocates and activists working on comprehensive SRHR for young people, as well as Generation Alive an organization of young Zambian Feminists working on young women’s leadership and SRHR. She also serves on the Southern Africa Young Women’s Festival Regional Committee.  

Additional Information

Nana possesses a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration and Psychology, and is a Masters of Science in Project Management Candidate. Nana loves traveling, movies and poetry.
